The Pink Party is produced annually by Queerspace Magazine and Queer Geek! Seattle. Taking place during PAX West, Seattle’s largest annual geek and gamer festival, the party is the weekend’s premier queer geek event, drawing upwards of 600 attendees to Capitol Hill’s Neumos.
While Queerspace Magazine and Queer Geek! are the face of the event, Jetspace Studio is the force that puts it all together. We handle the entirety of the event’s logistics, from securing the venue and event sponsors, to maintaining the event’s website, to developing and implementing the event marketing plan. That’s no small feat for an event that features dance music, gaming lounge with current gaming consoles and retro arcade games, and an amazing cosplay contest that’s the talk of the town.
In order to draw hundreds of guests to this annual event, we can’t rely on reputation alone. In addition to a brand new event logo every year, we develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan that includes posters and print marketing, both paid and viral web marketing, and street team marketing at PAX West, an annual gaming convention in Seattle that draws more than 100,000 attendees annually.
Such an impressive event needs an equally impressive website to show it off. We built the Pink Party website on a custom WordPress template, making sure that it could be easily updated annually with each year’s new party info, as well as also include links back to photos from the previous year’s parties.
